Blue sharpie doodles II. This time I tried a thin layer of Mod Podge over the acrylic paint background to see if the sharpie went on a little smoother. It didn't and I burned through another new sharpie doing this page.

blue sharpie doodles over an acrylic background on gessoed paper. My pens got really clogged up and the nibs all kinds of chewed up. Next time I am gonna try a light coat of Mod Podge over background to see if that helps

This World Needs More Flying Monkeys!


"This World Needs More Flying Monkeys!" I drew this ape airman in my sketch book then scanned and colored it in. Once colored I cut it out and pasted in my art journal. The background is random layers created with sharpies, brush pens, acrylic paints, ink and what not.

Skull and cross bones from my art journal


This is was done using a bunch of different layers. The background is acrylic paint on gesso, the bones were cut from another background I did and the skull was cut from a gesso covered paper bag. Then I used sharpies and texture stamps over everything for the details. This was a really fun one to make
